Newbie Pricing Help
I'm just trying to get a rough idea of funds I need to start my build and I'm wondering if I have priced this up right for a basic build
from MNR, I appreciate this is only a start of cash needed but I'm just trying to get a rough idea of that 1st cheque to write
Starter Kit £4,450
Module 1 Drivetrain £375
Module 2a Bike Engine £1180
Module 3a Electrics £210
Module 4 Trim £440
Module 5 Finishing £725
Thanks

If you can afford it initial outlay, some of the manufactures make complete kits that have supply every nut and boltetc to build a the car. I think
really buy the time you add up all the parts you otherwise would have to get you'd probably spend more just buying it all yourself
Fame is when your old car is plastered all over the internet

Sorry, what I really meant was that you had quoted £1180 for an engine, quite specific, but you wont put a Busa in it for that, but you could do an
early blade for half of it
You may be a bit lean with drivetrain if you count in a prop or two and reverse box and LSD rear end etc

Ah sorry my mistake ! I'm wondering now if I've got my wires crossed as to what I might actually need ?
The £1180 was listed as the Bike Engine Module on the MNR website which I assumed I would need along with all the other modules, the Bike Engine
Module includes
Wiring Loom
Sprocket Adapter
Clutch Cable / Clutch Slave Cylinder
Air Filter Assembly
Throttle Cable
Exhaust Manifold 4 into 1
Exhaust Silencer And Link Pipe
Exhaust Mounting Kit
Engine Mounting Bolts
Road Specification Radiator
Fan Assembly
Lower Coolant Hose Kit ( Connects Engine to Bottom Radaitor Input )
Top Coolant Hose Kit ( Connects Engine to Top Radiator Input )
Header Tank Hose Kit
Header Tank And Cap
Coolant System Fixing Kit

Hello, Bulla and welcome to the best kit car forum this side of Neptune (there's a better one on Pluto, but the connection is a bit
intermittent).
If you are pricing up a build, I spent quite a while putting together a start - to - finish budget. This is reasonably detailed, and the very reason I
put it together was to assist peeps like yourself. - have a look, it is at the top of the 'Chassis' section. or .....

Also, don't miss Stoneleigh Kit show which is the best way to pick and choose, talk to owners and builders, and get a feel for exactly what you
want to do.
Best of Luck, Steve.

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the welcome. I've already definitley got my mind set on a VortX BEC. Just need to decide what engine to plump for but I havent
included that int he costs I layed out above yet. Those were just lifted straight off the MNR website for what I thought I might need to get the
project up and running.
I'm definitely going to try and make as many shows as I can though..
Thanks

you will find second hand parts for sale on here on a regular basis.and on ebay. that way you can buy what you want when you need it. you might pick
up an engine with everything to run from malc at yorkshire engines. wheels and tyres are a major outlay if you buy new!

Without reminding myself with the kit i think your missing a fuel pump, gear shift system, front brake pads, discs and calipers, mirrors and trim bits
like flyscreen and boot box. Overal id budget £8-9k minimum and find a local bolt/rivet/wiring supplier to tie up all the minor bits you wont see till
during the build.

Thanks bassett, I guess the safe kind of figure would be 9k to get me up and running. The rest can come when more funds are available and I'm
sure 9ks worth of parts will keep me busy while my bank balance grows !
