5pw r1 rev counter not working

Hi there, just wondered if anyone could shed any light on my rev counter problem, when the ignition is turned on the clocks come on and the needle does the self test sweep, however once the engine has fired the rev counter doesnt work at all? does anyone know where it picks up from? Cheers mark

Sounds basic but the rev counter is fed from the ECU so have you traced the wiring back for continuity?

I have tested for continuity between the clocks & the ecu on the yellow/black wire & it's ok, would like to find out the pin number though to check it's wired correctly?

Quick update, problem now solved, checked wiring from clocks to ecu & all ok, decided to source another ecu & fitted, rev counter now working. This must be that transistor inside the ecu which controls the output to the clocks must be blown
