BEC Gear Lever mode?

Can someone tell me the set most used for your gear lever position - eg 1st is gear lever pulled back and 5 gears push lever forward or the opposite. just setting up my linkage now and people seem to have both setups?

Rgds, Paul.

I did 1 forward and five back on my previous engine, its probably easier to pull back when accelerating than to push.

I use push to downshif, pull to upshift. When accelerating you are pushed back in your chair and then it's easier to pull backwards and equally when you're decelerating and straining the straps it's easier to push forwards to downshift.

Mine was back first then forward the rest didn't get on with it so have it forward 1st then back rest much more natural flow as already said above

Mines pull up for first (left side of paddle) and then up again (right side) to go thru the box..
On the shift stick it's back one for 1st then bang it forward to go up thru the box..
