Sylva Striker parts

I have recently purchased a 2000 striker and need to know what donor parts are used as I know sylva tended to pick parts from different donors.
I need new bottom wishbone ball joints and a new steering column.
It is a escort based car.If anyone has a list of all the donor parts used this would be very helpful or even a build manual from this era.
Regards Matty

Pics will likely be needed, and the age of reg is usually irelevant due to alot of peoples buid times!

I would suggest either escort or sierra column and maxi bottom ball joints.

I have a '98 Striker I'm nearly done rebuilding .. My Avatar shows the rear end ..

Close to starting it up, just need a Zetec exhaust manifold ..

You could also look up the "Sylva Chat" list on Google Groups
Or search for JPSC web site (Jeremy Philips Sports Cars)

Bottom ball joints are Sherpa, right-hand thread only. I can dig out the part number from my pile of receipts.
Uprights can be Capri or MK1/2 Escort, modified though. Raw Engineering can still do these.
Steering rack is MK1 Escort, no need to shorten either.
Column is MK1/2 Escort.
Raw still do the live-axle chassis, but you might need to check a few dimensions with them ...

I modified mine to take the newer pedal box (not the Escort replication) .. I have a bunch of pics, but let me know by U2U where you want them emailed .. I have a very old build manual which I can scan as well, all came with my car.

I won't be home until the weekend though ..

Regards
Neil

Forgot to add .. I found the bushes used in the rear panhard rod and trailing arms to be from a Chevette !!! .. If yours are still in good nick, look after 'em, or you'll be seeking either a wierd dimsioned set of poly-bushes or (as I had to) getting a new set of rods made, or buy them from Raw ..

Good thing about polybushes is that you can turn them down in a lathe
Buy bigger machine to fit
