Thanks Steve...

...for building your first yellow MNR Vortx, you did a great and tidy job
She's now in Italy with brand new plates.
This past weekend we did the first test run on B roads... scary fast
For Saturday I booked the first track day on a circuit near Milano (not Monza, maybe next year), everyone cross your fingers please

You are right Hellfire, not easy to find even in a MNR forum!
The Steve who build mine is also know as Amalyos in this forum

That will be me then.

I saw it was on Ebay a couple of months ago. I must admit, if I could have afforded to, I would have bought it back.

If it's the same engine I sold it with, you have a great lump, it had only done 3K when I fitted it.

Good luck, keep it on the black stuff.

Keep me updated with how you get on.

Steve

Well Steve, I don't know if is still the same, it's a 5JJ version.
Let's say that the engine doesn't have a proper S/N wich caused a bit of troubles during the registration process in Italy

That sounds like the engine. It came from Ebay, but looked like new when I picked it up.

The first engine went bang chasing a Diablo at woodbridge airfield (I did miss a gear though)

I worked at Pininfarina, Turin for a year, and there are some great roads in Northern Italy, I'd loved to have had the car there then.

Amazing day Saturday!
We drive the car to the race track, 20 minutes of pure fun and with no rest 130km back home.
On the way back, the car suddently stopped while we were cruising at 130km/h on the higway.
After a couple of minutes of pure panic we realize that the fuel gauge is a bit optimistic, just a 1/4 of thank off scale
By the way, on the track the car is really great, I didn't push too much beeing my first time but the feeling was incredible.
This MNR RT+ chassis seems to me very predictable and easy to drive
