OT : Cheapest Shipping from US to UK 6kg
Google has failed me so I'm turning to the collective.
Anyone know the cheapest way to ship 6kg from US (mchenry il) to UK. Parcel value is $50.
I would guess the volume is 30 x 30 x 20 cm. I've bought something from the bay.com and need it sent here.
All I keep getting in my google results are companies which offer a US address, I just need to ship it from A to B.
Any ideas?

Iv'e used UPS before, although not for anything that heavy, so no idea what it would cost. You can get an estimate online from them.

I recently looked into getting a hydraulic pump for the US as I could get higher quality at a much lower price, it would be similar to your package in
size/weight or mabye a little less, the quote from the supplier for shipping was $80-90. I checked on-line for a couple of independant quotes &
they were just silly expensive.
It still worked out cheap enough but just was above the threshold for import duty which would almost certainly have made it to costly to justify so I
didnt go for it in the end.

Worth bearing in mind that royal mail/parcelforce charge a handling fee on top of the duty/VAT on any non EU imports, if the seller has any common
sense they will mark the item as a gift/samples or below the VAT threshold.
The robbing b@stards charged me £16 for collecting £4.80 worth of VAT. Had loads of stuff from China who are quite switched on and mark it as such
but the thick yanks mark it as true value in which case your stuffed.
Cheers,
Bob

It is, even if it costs the excess baggage.
I've been talking toi a guy in the states about getting a manifold shipped, much the same volumetrics as yours and the best he could do was $95

Problem is ALL parcel companies use the " Dimensionla Weight " for air freight it is L x W x H ( in cm ) devided by 5000
I've just sent 2KG to New Zealand but because of dimensional weight is cam in at 7KG !!
