13" wheels with Mx5 1.8 brakes & uprights
Does anybody with a Vortx use the mk1 1.8 running gear with 13" wheels?
I've seen some people saying only the 1.6 brakes will fit and with the Haynes build people have issues with the uprights. I'm wondering if
this is the same with the Vortx.
I'm hoping to run CXR's with an et24.
Cheers,
Luke

I am also interested in finding out this information. I have the 1.8 brakes, but if I were to use the 1.6 caliper brackets at the rear (this is the
only difference between the two) and the Flyin Miata Little Brake front brake kit up front, apparently 13" is possible.

Not on a kit car, but I use 13" wheels (two different sets, to be precise) on my 1.6 MX-5 track car. Fits nicely, brakes have more than enough
power. Will be using the same brake setup for that thing in my avatar <<

Adam,
Do you mind sharing the make, model and spec of the 13" wheels that you have used successfully?
Cheers,
Mick

Ooh, errrrrrmm.... I'll have a look!
One set is the cheapest steelies I could find on Oponeo, the others are some weird looking 5 spoke things I got for free
Ok, steelies are these: http://www.oponeo.co.uk/steel-wheel/magnetto-wheels-mw-r1-1213 (£28 when I got 'em though!).
The others appear to be Compomotive MOs (or at least a copy of), 13x6", unsure of exact offset but I'd guess in the region of 35-45:
