Rear Caliper Brackets - confusion

I've got push-in drive shafts and have bought caliper-mounting brackets so that I can put rear discs on my car. But...

It's not clear to me whether the caliper-mounting bracket should go between the rear upright and the hub carrier OR whether it should go between the hub carrier and the flange (the one with the wheel studs on!)

Any words of wisdom/pictures would be a gratefully received as I'm on a mission to get the car on its wheels this Saturday!

Just rang MNR and it turns out that the caliper mounting brackets go on the TYRE side of the hub-carrier and not the diff side where I've put them. Doh.
