Where to mount an R1 fuel pump

Where should I mount my R1 fuel pump on my VortX chasis? the only place I can think of ison the chasis rail next to the diff over the LHS half shaft. The manual says that it should be mounted below the level of the fuel tank but as the tank outlet is level with the bottom chasis rail behind the rear axle, this would men hanging the pump underneath the car- not a good idea.

Andy, do you mean the right hand side of the (left hand) rail, i.e. between the rail and the diff or do you mean the chassis rail to the right of the diff?

that sounds an odd place to put it. does your fuel tank supply come from the right hand side too?

on mine (and i assume Smart51's) the fuel tank supply exits on the left. (if you are standing at the rear of the car looking forwards)
when i was talking to marc when i was picking the kit up he suggested putting the pump right in front of the fuel tank supply. i could be wrong tho

PS: Smart51, based on the questions youve been asking over the past few days you must be fair rocketing through the build!

The diff is in, the brake pipes riveted. Ali pannels for the footwells notched and drilled. Wishbones built up, rear hubs and uprights assembled. Fuel pipe loosely inplace waiting for a location for the pump.

My fuel tank exits on the left just behind the chassis tube behind the diff. There isn't enough room for the R1 fuel pump and filter assembly underneath or infront of the diff's LH lobro drive shaft hub to fit it. The chassis tube above this is the best place I can think to put it, which is why I'm asking for bright ideas.
