MNR Loom question
I've got my loom run in the car now and have labelled it all up nicely using the supplied instructions but I seem to have come across a
discrepency.
The instructions mention a number plate light feed and earth that I'm missing. I also have a connector that isn't mentioned. It uses the
same colours as the stop light +ves and has an earth. When laid as described it's between the handbrake switch and the split in the loom for the
rear section. Any ideas?

the spare connector is for a centre brake light. My loom came with a matching connector for this and a long length of two core wire. I didn't
wire in a high level brake light though. I migh have if there was an easy way of putting the wire inside the roll bar. and poke it out of a hole at
the back.
My loom came with a number plate light connector. It is wired in to one of the side lights.

Yeh mine was the same, a high level brake light connection.
I havent got the instructions to hand but it made sense when the extension cable was plugged in.
Any other problems just shout cos thats one of the jobs which is complete and fully functional (short of fitting te actual lighting)
Sounds like youre cracking on with it, I need to get my finger out!

I have the high brake light but doubt I'll be using it as getting wiring up to the roll bar easily doesn't seem possible.
I'm cracking on as best I can, I've got stuck with the steering rack. I can't seem to get the thing together, THere's a black
cap that looks like it needs to unscrew but I don't have anything to unscrew it with!
Got lots of stuff to do at the weekend and my wife is revising so loads of time in the garage

Is that the smooth end cap of the of the steering arm where it screws into the rack main body?
If so, just use pipe pliers or mole grips, it wont be seen under the rubber boot.
