first go
I put the drivers seat in on sunday afternoon so decided that it was time to see if the thing moved under its own steam.
(on my extra long driveway, of course..)
firstly, the inevitable stall which i had predicted before I even started..
next I tried giving it a bit more welly, which turned out to be a LOT (very sensitive throttle!) and it took off like a scalded cat!
initial impressions, brakes are a bit poor but will reserve judgement until they are bedded in.. also lots of vibration noise from panels and other
things (the guages dangling from underneath the dash didnt help either)
otherwise... BY CRIKEY it moves.... i couldnt get it out of second but that was quite quick enough for a first go.. hehe
nearly there then. put both seats in properly, set up dash, and trim for sva.
best get it booked then eh?

Well done that man! It might be worth bleeding the brakes again. Once done properly, mine were really good, even though new. Its a two man job
really, the one man bleed kits are not as good.

Good news Rog!
Are you staying up at MNR at the moment then? Or popping in when you have time?
What other bits have you got left to do before SVA?
I'm a little curious about the amount of resonance that would come from the panels and bodywork when a rigidly mounted motorbike engine is used.
The couple of times Marc's taken me out I've been whooping too much to notice!
I have put silicon behind every panel though and tap tested everything to make sure there is minimal resonance. But we'll just have to wait and
see...
My VortX is booked in for a custom 4-2-1 manifold on Saturday so should be able to start reassembly next week of brakes and finalising bodywork and
then onto the electrics and cooling!
Take it easy,
Chris.

Re the brakes most disks come oiled to stop them rusting on the shelf best ensure this is removed with brake cleaner before use.
Just chacking
