It is there now!!

Tommorrows the day to pick it up!

Kit ready, van booked, just hope the weather doesn't have a say...

Might be a slow starter with the cold in the garage at the moment but still dead exited.

Steve

hi ian
yep snowing here at home, got two to three inches at mo and getting heavier, gritters been out but roads still covered, was hoping the new power unit for the plasma would arrive tomorrow morning but unlikely couriers will drop off with the weather as it is
( best get the quad started for its once yearly snow ploughing in the morning )
see you tomorrow

Well its in place now. Collected the kit this morning even though it was a bit slippy with the snow

A big thank you to Mark, Chris & Ian and the other guys who's names I cant remember. I'm rubbish at remembering peoples names! Sorry. Everything survived the journey back to Hetton and is now laid out ready to go together. Just need to get shot of that telly and cabinet and I'll have a bit more room. Anyone weant it? 20" Toshiba.

Also the garage roof is leaking at the moment, for the first time! so need to sort that out too.

I'll be getting underway tomorrow when I've thawed out I'll be studying the build manual tonight.

Once again thanks very much to every one for helping or just wishing me luck. Rescued attachment Day 1.JPG

Hi Steve,
You managed to collect it. I' sure you would of collected it even if the snow had been 3 feet deep. What Colour did you go for, is that Red I can see. Have you gone for all one colour.

I take it back, you're already ahead.

It looks like the footwell panels are integral to the chassis.

It also looks like Marc's new toy (bracket making machine) is already payind dividends too - see steering column upper mounts and steering rack mount.

Its going to be red with black arches. Couldn't make me mind up when I was choosing but there was two in the workshop that looked cool. The more black against the red the cooler it looks

Marc's new plasma cutting machine means its easier to make the brackets and make then look fancy with detailing in them.

It does seem a shame to start drilling into the chassis and covering it up as it does look really nice. It was the chassis that pulled me to choosing the MNR over the others I was considering. The integral panels stiffen the area up and save me a few panels and riveting!

i take it the steering mount means the column is easily adjustable? Good idea.

Looks like it to me. I think mine is the last 'pre-plasma' chassis. No worries though - it's just a couple o' holes.

The roll bar isn't as high as it looks in the picture.

When I picked the kit up there was another chassis next to it that was a lot higher.
