Insurance including Trackday cover

Guys,

Just found this company, quite big in the kit car\specialist market but interestingly the policies include trackday cover FOC.

I used Herts for years, since I had my minis, but their service had started to go downhill a bit as they got more popular, and they couldn't keep premiums very low on my tintop, it probably wasn't specialised enough!.

The trackday cover was a bonus, especially in my ageing Pug 405 Diesel.....

that said, I'll still give them another look when it's time to insure Ruby.....

Cheers

Vince

It was £1k when I last had a car with HIC, but that went down to £500 if you could prove previous experience of a track day. May well have changed though.

I have my policy with these guys. The excess is still 500 when on track provided you have track experience.

500 quid excess for a trackday is good, lets face it the chances of binning it on track are massively higher than on the road!!

Is it? What about the fact theres no tractors, old people, animals, drunks, people coming the other way etc on the track.

my misses will only go in it now when Im on the track, she says its safer.

I insurte my MK1 Golf GTi track car with this company.

My policy is £148.00 per year, fully comprehensive for me and my son as a named driver. They charge me 10% each time I go on track I am covered for an agreed value of £6000.00 for the car plus my personal liability and excess is £200 if I am driving and £300 if my lad is driving and the service is exceptional
