probably not, i don't think they would meet the Dimensiona requirements of teh SVA manual.

But post SVA is a different story....

Nope they are too far inboard to meet the requirements.

you need a pair of extended ones to fit for SVA then fall off afterwards.

MNR loan you the correct indicators for the SVA test, along with mirrors and a cat.

I think you will find that car is going through SVA right NOW.
What you need is something horrible like this... Rescued attachment P4280002.jpg

I think it's 400mm in from the widest 'rear' point.

It's the widest point of the vehicle, not necessarily the rear

I think what he was trying to say is that it's the widest point, and that is often the rear...

I'm putting it through myself and had a bit idle time so replicated the ones MNR lend out. I built it round the nose cone and there is a small U bracket at the bottom to firm it up. If anyone wants it after I've passed SVA your welcome to it. It keeps the inspectors sphere away from the suspension. They cant test anything behind the bar, thats what I've been told anyway. I'll still be attaching covers to bolt heads though.

As far as the mirrors go I've put one's on that will pass SVA as I'm not changing them later for ineffective small racer types.

Think you will find that as long as there is a 500mm seperation between the indicators wyou will be fine. It is only side lights that have to be a max of 400mm from the edge of the car. However I presonnaly haven;t tested this at SVA - but the diagram .

See this thread here
for the picture from the sva manual......

That diagram is not in the current manual, there is a table which clearly states 400mm maximum from the edge of the vehicle.
