if anyone is interested
The Lancaster has just flown over the workshop... lovely, lovely sound. She's out on her own, no covering fighters.
It's not on the list for WSM (that I can see), so I wonder where that's heading off to.
I think she is a busy lady these days,we have Sally B and the BBMF advertised so never know.
i have seen her overhead before and as you say...what a sight/noise :-)

looks like Spitfire,Huricane and Dakota
Driving along a nice road on the side of a valley in wales..
Got 'overtaken' by the Dakota
Lower than we were, being chased by a helicopter with a cameraman hanging out of the door
Made for a memorable trip
Had that happen to me in Wales - driving along near the bottom of a valley, when the kids suddenly shouted out. Got passed by an A10 at roughly the same altitude as me!
i dont think the Dakota was known for her speed but there are some still used today in south America for freight, tough old bird and still pretty
I think I saw the Dakota last year at armed forces day in Weston, flying very low around the square by the hotel. was amazing how close it was.
Used to see a lot of cool fly pasts from here in Filton but not so much since they took out the runway at the air port, Still a lot of Helicopters
though unfortunately.
For information There are supposed to be two Lancaster's at Dawlish air-show this year towards the end of August
The second one is being flown over from Canada
Rare site indeed !!
Dawlish eh...not too far from here
Looks like they'll both be at Dunsfold as well - caught my attention as a rare sight to see.
