Hi guys,
I've just removed a 3:38 lsd from my mk Indy and fitted a 3:62 lsd.
I've had a look around but cannot find another one for sale, have you guys got any idea what it's worth ?
I don't really want to go the ebay bidding route and having to deal with a load of time wasters.
Thanks.
OT but what's the reason you have changed as majority of people say the 3.38 is the best ratio for a BEC?
How much difference is there in reality between revs comparing the two?
Cheers
200 Big ones
Some go for more, some less so sounds reasonable.
I quite fancy long gearing as do some bike engine guys, but some like the shorter ones for acceleration.
Is it in good condition etc?
Thanks

As above 200 ish
I bought mine for 100 but seen some sell if mint for 250
3.38 open, anywhere between £150 and £200 these days. 3.62 LSD about, £125?
Then merge the two? Road and Race did mine.
I'd be looking to sell around the £300 mark.
if you do a search on here in the for sale section you will see what has sold,
and as above they go between £200 ish upto £350
so i guess its up to you really where to put it,
best of luck selling it,
Thanks for your help guys.
When I changed from the 3:62 to the 3:38 it was a lot nicer at cruising speeds with my 2003 R1 engine and at motorway speeds it dropped the rpm by
approx 1000 rpm, which is a lot nicer on longer journeys.
I just miss the sheer acceleration you get with the 3:62.
I will get some pics taken and put it up for sale this weekend.
Thanks, Jaime
Drop me a note when you decide on a price...
