Hi guys,
I have finished the wiring up of my omex 500 on my car.
Using 2.0 zetec with base map from omex. Had the laptop connected to check the sensor which are working. When turning over getting fuel pump pulse and
pumping whilst cranking, getting spark...... but the injectors aren't firing all the cylinders are dry as a bone.
What have I wired up wrong?? 12v supply which I have checked to the injector plug and the other pin shows 12v which is from the Ecu.
Has anyone else come across this?
Regards
Should the ECU switch on earth? In that case 12v to injectors, then earth to ECU switch? If that is the case the ECU wire will show voltage until it
is earthed. That's my understanding. May be talking Borracks of course
Not sure on OMEX, but MS2 has a test facility which only switches the injectors; no fuel or ignition, you can hear the injectors cycling.

As above you normally have a 12v ignition live supply and then the ecu earths each injector to fire it, or in paired groups depending if you are
running batch or sequential injection. Looking on the Omex 500 diagram you should have a common 12v ignition supply to all the injectors and then
injectors 1&4 are earthed by the ecu on pin6 (brown cable) and 2&3 are earthed from pin 9 (white cable)
Are you positive you have connected the 12v common supply to the correct place? Some ignition barrels cut power to certain pins when cranking.
I would check you are getting 12v at the injectors whilst cranking to start with
A friend had a similar problem, it was due to the fact they the engine had not been run for 4/5 years, a Mechanic took them out, shook them up and down to get the solenoid working, then checked them with a current across the terminals, then they were clicking. Problem solved, if it's not electrical.
It would be highly unlikely that all 4 injectors have siezed closed....
I am going to supply 12v from another battery first.
The ecu ran a red top engine before. Daft question would the injectors pins be opposite hand?? Same plug would assume not

The injector can be wired up in any orientation.
Thanks for the help guys I will let you know How I get on.
Resolved!
I had wired the ignition coil wires back to front, matched the colours of the plug to the ecu...when I checked the diagram, the coil pack plug colours
wernt right.
turned the engine over twice... and it started.
Following on from this,
Now when the car starts it goes straight to about 2000 revs with the throttle shut, sounds great when revving the throttle but wont drop back down to
idle, whats going on there then?
regards Jon
Does it have an idle control valve? If it does block the vac inlet, it may be stuck open?
Where in Sheffield are you?

Doesn't have idle control valve.
I'm in grenoside
Can you calibrate the throttle pot in the ECU?
Check the butterfly valve is fully closed?
Check for vac leaks, open ports?
If you are stuck I may be able to get up to you, two heads etc;
