MNR wiring loom - colour of fuel sender wires?
james h - 23/3/14 at 05:28 PM

I'm about to wire up the fuel sender on my BEC, and predictably I've misplaced my copy of the MNR wiring loom destructions. Does anybody know which of the following are for the fuel sender at the back of the car?

- Black, Green/Black

- Black/Yellow, Green/Orange

- Black/Grey, Green/Purple x3

One of these is a high level brake light, the other for the fuel sender and I can't think what else the other might be for as I've wired up the fog, numberplate light, reversing light and driving lights.

Cheers,

James

If the loom is british standard colours, Green/Black is normally fuel sender.

Green Purple is brake light

However i'd check with some actual diagrams to confirm this.

From the MNR instructions,

Off side branch

32 Black ring Ground to chassis

33 Green/black Fuel tank sender
Black Earth
We also recommend an additional earth from the filler cap directly to ground to prevent static sparks when filling.

34 O/S rear light cluster
Black Earth for lights
Red white O/S side lights
Green purple O/S stop lights
Green white O/S indicators

35 Red yellow Rear fog light
Black Earth
