Having never like cider I've fallen in love with Kopperburgh (sp?) pear cider recently.

I'm happy!

Cheers,
James

Kopparberg is evil, there's a lot of sugar in there.

Bloody delicious though.

Prefer Rattler...............Three or four and life gets pretty Blurry!

Ice in Cider is an Abomination and should be punished with Death!!!!

I remember (vaguely!) drinking several pints of scrumpy in a Weston-Super-Mare back-street pub...
...my word, that's a cure for constipation, that is!

Nice while I was drinking it, even though I'm normally very wary of drinking anything that has bits floating in it...

I cant remember the last time I got drunk on scrumpy in weston super mare.................no , honestly , I realy cant remember a thing

MikeR - 22/6/10 at 04:57 PM

I'm a cider drinker ...... have always been.

Love the kopperberg (got into it when in Finland years before it came here).

Also like the Westons ciders (especially the 8.4% stuff which scarily doesn't taste that alcoholic and you only find out when you try to stand up).

so ..... whooohooo from me

Thatchers Gold is my favourite... it's awesome!
Remember drinking some of this random stuff over in Cosmeston. Drank three pints without even feeling tipsy. Then realised I couldn't feel my face!

I once had Tennants Super Extra with 2 litres of 1080 cider as a snake bite.

I was poorly from many orifices.

Many years ago I worked with a Cornish guy - he was describing his last visit to a cider house (that's all they sell - scrumpy) and it's effects on the human body.

It seems that the brain continues to work perfectly - you have clear insight to everything around you - but you lose all control of your nervous system! When you try to speak your wonderful thoughts they come out as "Weeble, bleugh, mma" and similar gibberish. When you try to move you fall over - simples.

He described one evening when he was fascinated by the way the bar was coming up to meet his face...

No seriously though they still make that stuff? Isn't it about £1.10 too?

Then again for all I know it could be liquid orgasm...

Last time I drank pear cider I ended up in a ball on my front doorstep, soon after my teenage daughter found me there, I've never lived it down!!!

MikeR - 22/6/10 at 09:20 PM

good stuff that pear cider

alistairolsen - 23/6/10 at 10:17 AM

I love pear cider like kpparberg or St Hellier. Proper scrumpy is good, as is virtually any of the westons stuff.

Rekorderlig was a favourite this winter too!

Why do people call it pear cider these days. Was always called Perry when I used to drink it.
