First off, Merry Christmas to everyone. Second, what did Santa bring you lot this year?
I was lucky enough to have my father-in-law provide me with a bunch of scrap steel and some welding rods for me to learn with. My first attempt and
it looks like a youngling did the job, but it was great to finally give it a shot. Got to see firsthand how much a piece of metal can warp due to too
much welding in one area, a couple more passes and it would have come out like a candy cane. My final project so to speak was using a stainless rod
and writing my name on a single bar of iron that we then cut in half and I welded my first name above my last name. Also got some new shoes on my tin
top which is nice and just a generally great time with my extended family.
Merry Christmas!!!

Some slippers and whiskey and a metal puzzle that's driving me up the wall, time for the hacksaw I think.
A 40 year old Action Man with gripping hands, flocked hair and the all important scar just like the ones I had.......well about 40 years ago! Complete
suprise gift from Mrs Beddows but without doubt the best Christmas present I've had for years!
The only slightly weird thing is that it feels like you're holding something that should be in a museum........but I had a new one when I was a
little lad..............
