Custom enginered Paddleshift
tompat3463 - 19/5/11 at 08:46 PM

Hi guys..

Over the past few weeks me and my friend have been building a paddledhift system

The paddle is made from 8mm Alu and has Zero flex in it what so ever.

The one we made for me fitted the boss i had on my Indi-blade

If anyone is interested in purchasing a blank paddle then please U2U me

we can CNC cut u a paddle from any tjhinkness Alu U want and adjust any measurments to suit your column.

Our price will be in the region of £120 for the blank paddle

This will fit the largest sierra wheel.. A small paddle can be made and will be cheaper.

Thanks Guys

Will try and get some better pics up soon

8mm!

Seems overkill to me, and so does the price I'm afraid!

This is Locostbuilders!

very much ur opinion...U wouldn't want any flex now, would U ??

I did mention that we can do any dimension !! that does include THICKness

Is it waterjet cut?

I could perhaps understand the pricing if it had milled radii, but aesthetically it does look very heavy

Agree with the above comment I am afraid.

For that money needs to be something special for a " Locostbuilder" pay that amount.
But I just cant see that something special. Please don't get me wrong, it does look nice, but no for some kind of production.
A Locost builder will try to make something similar for more than half the money you are askying for this.

Sorry

the whole thing is milled and anodised

could I perhaps ask what U's guys would like to pay for these and maybe we could come to an agreement on a fair price ??
thanks Alan

water cutting isnt that expensive !!

Ive cut quite a few of these but for considerably less money, maybe Im under selling and should put my prices up

Most if not all the paddles Ive cut have been from 6mm high grade Ali and no mention yet of any flexing

Maybe the price for the complete set up inc mounting brackets etc

Milling is a way too expensive way to make something like this, laser/water cutting is a lot, lot cheaper, and faster!

I just couldn't understand why it didn't have any radii if it were milled......and your prices are just right Andy

Sorry to put you down. Mines 6 mm ally strong and no flex and was laser profiled and cheap

if your advertising a sevice to others as a business then i would check with chris or fozzie as you may need a "Registered Trader" status on the forum?
