Someone to make inlet manifold for bike carbs

Is there anyone out there who could help me make an inlet manifold to suit a set of ZX6R bike carbs? I don't want to pay £180 for a Bogg Brothers one, I am willing to pay upto £50.

The carbs are as standard i.e. unspaced and they need to be fitted to a crossflow engine, I have an inlet plate to suit the engine just need the tubes cut/bent/welded.

Everyone I have approached has either done the long drawn in breath through pursed lips thing or looked at me as though I am talking jibberish.

Please help.

Thank you.

There was someone selling flat pack kits on the bay a while back? Not sure what carbs for but might be worth a glance?

It's fairly time consuming so I would have thought you are going to pay a fair bit to have one made.

If you have access to a mig, make your own. I made one for my Zetec for non respaced ZX6R carbs out of a manifold plate and some exhaust pipe.

ps. ZX6R carbs are a really good choice and are dead easy to set up as the needles are adjustable. Make sure you use a bike fuel pump though.

The cheapest I've found is £100 by a guy who fabricates all sorts.

U2U me for his details if you dont find anything cheaper.

eta - may be cheaper as you already have a flange

Ive just made one from a manifold plate from Kit parts direct (not recommended).
It took half a day to fettle the plate to get it to fit properly. the spigots were made from some 45mm exhaust tube I filched from a customers skip.
The hardest thing is getting the angle of dangle right from the manifold to the carbs, you need six pairs of hands, till I came up with the idea of tack welding the tubes to a piece of scrap to get the right spacings then cutting the tubes to fit the plate.
I'll post some pics when I get home.
It was quite enjoyable to do actually but long winded.
Cheers,
Bob

i made me own with a bit of flat plate and some tubes.. very time consuming but nearly zero cost.

Have a go yourself , the hardest bits done if you have a pre-cut flange already.

Got mine from GBS/RObin hood for my ZX6carbs.
They are on version 2 an it aint bad.
Had alittle trouble keeping the cabs though, would reccomend thin juilee clips on the carb connections as there aint much to hold on to,

Thanks for your suggestions guys, the main problem is that I am unable to weld and don't have access to any welding gear.

I have the carbs, plate and I can get the tubing, just need help with the rest.

Johhny, I will U2U.
