Suggest a rwd gearbox
Looking for suggestions, possibly something thats overlooked, must
be good price
take 350-400 horses
have removable bellhousing
Maybe jag or BMW or something?????

most bmws have integral housings, apart from the Getrag 265 iirc

you are thinking along the right lines with either the jag manual box,, can't remember if the jag xj40 one is removable bellhousing though, but
they are cheap enough

Getrag 265 from my XJ40 donor has a removable bellhousing. It was also used on a few BMW's in the 80's (cant remember which though).
These gearboxes have meen mated to 6.0 V12's before so should have no problems handling the power.
There is a slightly different version used on the X300 which was used on the supercharged 4.0 but i dont know the model.
The only thing i will say is, although these gearboxes are pretty reliable, spares are abit thin on the ground.
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

My suggestion would be the Supra gearboxes mentioned above, W58/57 and also the stronger R154
