Alternative 5-speed Boxes for Zetec Conversion
Hi again,
I'm trying to find a good useable Type 9 gearbox and have a couple of leads after only a day or two looking but they seem to be getting scarce.
I know the MT75 is available too.
Are there any other 5-speed rear-wheel-drive gearboxes that can be used in a Zetec/Vauxhall conversion?
MX5 was a thought. Any others?
Thanks again for the continued advice.
Cheers
Martin

Cossie T5 but they are dear ..
Mt75 are cheap. I run one in mine. I have a spare you can have for £40. It wont fit a vauxhaull but it does bolt straight onto a zetec.

The MT75 is an excellent box, used one on my last project, moving the gearlever back and forth is a cinch too.
I made my own propshaft too, using land rover front prop with the sliding joint, mated to the back half of an MGB prop.
Bailey Morris do a gearbox flange which fits the landy slider.
