Im looking to put a new battery on my zx12-r engined car. It uses the standard bike battery. I was just wondering where's best to get one from and if its worth getting a branded one or are they much of a muchness

Yep, Ebay is where I got mine from. It is worth going for branded, I can't remember what my brand was but it wasn't that much more. It was really odd though, it came as a battery with a separate liquid (electrolyte?) and it felt like a DIY thing!! I'm guessing that's how they allow it to go through Royal Mail.

Got mine from quad bikes wales on ebay. Genuine Yuasa battery, decent price and very quick delivery.

Strangely enough, the cheapest place I found for a replacement Bosch bike battery was Halfords after trade card discount and allowing for no postage charges. Strange, but true.

Cheers folk,

I clocked Halfrauds have them for 60 quid, I'll drop in and see what they come up for with a trade card. I've never got my head round trade card prices, some stuff comes up silly cheap, to the extent I've bought things, used them for a year and ebayed them for twice what I paid for them!

Other stuff doesn't

Tayna are very good you and browse and sometimes find a higher rated battery of the same physical size.
