Advice about Re-finishing Aluminium Panels

Hi All,

I need some more advice from you knowledgable folk.

I got my V8 Minor on the road about 3 years ago.

The floors and tunnel panels are ally chequer plate, the engine bay sides are ally sheet.

My garage isn't the driest place in the world and these panels have gone 'furry' over the time.

Question is what is the best thing to use on these panels?

I don't mind painting them so what products do you peeps recommend for a long lasting finish on aluminium particularly in a hostile engine bay?

All help much appreciated as always.

Ta!

I've always DA sanded them 320 - 400 grit, etch prime, mist coat followed by a full coat, dry 400 flat then prime and paint with whatever finish system you prefer.
