929 Fireblade clutch

Guys,

Just Replaced xflow with a929 blade lump.

Fitted a venhill clutch cable, which pulls the clutch lever nicely, but the output adapter is still locked, ie not disengaged from box in gear, with clutch in. Any ideas please?

Tim

How long has the engine been stood without running?

If your sure the clutch is being operated fully the plates in the clutch are probably stuck together.
The oil acts like adhesive if the engine has not been run for a while.
Plenty of bikers don't bother stripping the clutch and cleaning, they just bump the bike and reckon the plates soon become unstuck.

Update

CosKev3 thanks so much, it worked.

Basically put in gear , rocked it a bit and it freed up!

Acceleration vs the 1700 xflow is mind boggling 😀
