Combimate water treatment unit
Does anyone who lives in a hard water area have one of these installed in their house? It works to help prevent the limescale build up in the pipes
and shower etc?We are thinking of getting one.
Linker to Combimate site
Any feedback on the effectiveness? and can it be fitted if you have a Worcester Combi boiler?
Thanks in advance.....
Why do they call Port Harcourt "The Garden City"?...... Becauase they can't spell Stramash.

Just about to have a water softener fitted to my system, not far away from you I'd guess and the water is really hard. My plumber is talking
about one of the really expensive softeners (about £900 fitted ), so that Combimate looks like a cheaper alternative.
I had a quick look on the UKplumbers (plumbers forum) forum, and there doesn't seem to be anyone
complaining about them, so that's a good sign
I'll mention them to my chap next week and see what he says (that's if he actually turns up )

Reviews look good. If water pressure isn't affected seems like a great piece of kit for the money.

Hmmm, definitely considering one, but I've just looked at web site again, and it says £171.60 inc the dreaded, then when you look at more info,
it says buy online from £152, then when you try and buy, the price goes back up to £171.60. seems like they need some help with their web design

Not at all sure about these 'magic' cures. We had solar heating installed and as part of the package a device with similar claims was
installed. Did nothing at all. We had a Kinetico water softener installed and the results are brilliant now 10 years on. I know they are expensive to
fit but they really do work. If you do go for a water softener go for a twin tank non electric one, much better :-)
