zetec cam follwers

how long does it take cam followers to fill up as mine are taking quiet a while. top of engine is tappety and i am shaw it is cam followers

they can take a while to stop rattling on first run up

If they are anything like the old Ford twin cam 8 vavle they can take anything up to 4 hours (or longer) running at 2000rpm.





Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.

Hi,

Make sure you are using ONLY the correct 5W30 oil. Other grades don't allow the tappets to work correctly.

I've cured all sorts of missfires and noises on customers cars with these engines by just changing the oil!!

cam followers

when i fitted new cams and follower it took about 15 mins before they went quiet.once the engine was up to temp road tested and all fine since
