Gutted and a word of warning........
Had a weekend away, found out today over the weekend some scum as stolen daughters quad bike.
Well to be fair we have a crime number but don't expect a visit even though the quad is unique as I have welded on a small tow bar so she can
tow a small trailer round the field cleaning hoss poop up, its also camo pink, a bit distinctive ? Its gonna be local and they must know all the
scrotes, shame they didn't drive away over 30mph, they may be interested then.
They also had a petrol hedge trimmer and a caravan awning away.
Insurance ?
The quad is classed as a vehicle apparently so not covered, well ge thanks.
So if anyone has bought their kids anything petrol powered your not covered on your contents insurance.

Might be worth checking out any local gypo camps, if you live in a nice(ish) area then it is more likely them getting easy pickings.
Sorry for your loss, quads etc. are expensive and desirable - which is exactly why they are mentioned in your small print under the tiny heading -
"how we shaft you when you least expect it"

Its a long shot, but increasingly we have to do our own Police work these days. I had the wifes brand new bike nicked so put up some posters down the
street and in local shops.
Didnt get the theif but someone did come and give us a description of a chap running off with it and some garage tools at 5am ish.

That was one of the 1st places I looked, ebay, explaining to a 6 years old what as happened is not easy, I guess we have to replace and forget it.
Suppose I'm gonna be all anti everything for a day or two...?

Shame it's not on eBay. One can imagine a scenario where an unscrupulous victim of theft would claim non delivery on paypal, who would then
charge back the seller / receiver of stolen goods. Not that I would advocate such a thing.

Sorry to it Jon. Scum on both sides especially the 'your insured, - until you make a claim' bit.
Bread and water at the bottom of a well would be too good a punishment for either side of your woes. (tea leaf and insurance company.)
Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.

Im sorry to hear this.....some people need shooting!
What does it matter if it turns up on ebay...
Neither ebay or the police will do anything about it..
When my sisters expedition defender was stolen from outside her house last year a few days later some bits that were unmistakable (Because I had done
a lot of welding on them!) turned up on ebay..
We contacted ebay, contacted the police various times at various different stations and they did nothing....4 months later they went and had a chat
with the bloke in connection with some other things but by then there was no proof of the fact and he was let off..
The worst thing is that although on the policy documents it states "all accessories fitted to the vehicle are covered" apparently the
wheels and roof tent are NOT accesorries and are therefore not covered....well theres £3K down the drain then....

She doesn't understand the meaning of the word stolen, well she didn't.
