Hi All after 5 years on the road i am trying to buy some new wheels to fit the car correctly insted of running with spacers etc..
I have some questions
does anyone know what ET my Ford Zetec s wheels are as i want the new wheels at the front to stay the same ET.
at the rear i have Ford Zetec S wheels but with a inch and half spacer and they do not fill up my rear arches, so i want a wheel that is 8" wide
with 3" on the inside but dont know what ET that would be.
I put this to a wheel company and they have said i need :
6.0x15 ET28 (117.0mm backspace) front
8.0x15 ET0 (115mm backspace) rear
but this does not look right
any ideas please before i spend a lot of money.
I have looked in search but am more confused then ever
thanks
is that the 4x108 fiesta or 5x108 stud focus wheels ?
my 4 stud focus ones are ET52
your wheels should say on them somewhere - but I think they'll be similar
but the rim width is less than 'A' as its to the inside (i.e. where the tyre sits)
(edited because it didn't make any sence )

Hi Ya they are 4 stud 108 Ford Fiesta Zetec S spoke wheels the markings on them are E43.5 6J15 H2
Sounds about right to me.
This backspace business gan be confusing I hope I don't add to the confusion! The outside width is more or less 1" wider than the width of
the bead seating. So your 6" wheel has an overall width of 7".
If the offset was 0 the backspace would be half the overall width or 3.5" or in metric 89mm. To find the offset deduct this from the measured
backspace of 117 to give +28mm.
The rear wheels quoted the offset is (8"+1" )/2=4.5" or 115mm less the backspace quoted of 115mm giving 0.
i.e. the rear wheels are pushed 28mm further out or about 1.1" which is roughly what you were looking for.
Cheers
don't know how acurate this is but: linky
zetec-s will be 4 stud fiesta.
I had this trouble so i changed my axle to cortina which gained me the extra 2 inches either side. Much better choice of wheels and cheaper. Iv got
et38 fiesta wheels on which are just right.
i think you will need rwd offset as it sounds like yours is similar to mine
the fiesta wheels will be Et38 hence the need for the spacers
so any wheels with ET 10 or less will work fine on the rear..... now the problem is your fronts will need adjustments to run the same offset.
imo ultimatley you can't avoid this and in the long run it will be worth the hassle then pretty much most rwd ford fitment wheels will go
straight on.
sierra based kits seem to use much easier to get fwd offset wheels lucky gits
hi does anyone know if the E43.5 on the inside of my feista wheel means the off set
I have tried to work out the wheels I need and come up with 2 15 x 6 with ET24 for the front a 2 15 x 8 at ET-24 for the rear so i have a FWD wheel
for the fronts and a RWD set for the rear. hopfully going for minilites or compomotive MLs can anyone see any problems
