Wheels for Tiger cat e1
navyseamonkey2011 - 13/11/12 at 09:39 PM

Hi i am wondering what is the offset and pcd for my Tiger cat e1.

The car came with a set of ford focus wheels, i would like to change them as the rear wheels look sunk into the rear arches.

looking for something black and light multi or five spoke 15".

Would i have to use spacers on the rear to fill the arches a little more? the fronts are a lovely fit.

Depends on wheel width.

On 7" wheels I found Et42 on the rear to be about right, but I found Et35 on the front better.

I bought 3 sets of pro race wheels to get around the problem, just need to get one set machined to remove a few mm from the wheel to increase the offset.

Ok sadly i dont have the cash for a couple of sets of wheel so i was thinking...

6.5"x15 ALLOY WHEELS 4x108 ET40 fitted on all corners then 195's on the front and 205's rear.

et38 worked on my old cat, but you can always use a 10mm spacer if needed on the rears?

This is the rear on a 6j (185 tyre) wheel with Et38

As you increase the width of a wheel, the centre point moves and the offset needs adjusting. on a 7j wheel Et42 sits about the same as above. the problem being 7j et42 on the fronts hit the cycle stays. I would rather my wheels sit slightly further in on the rear to stop the arches catching. so i'm having a set machined to Et45 for the rear, but leaving the fronts Et35.
