i have been looking at the worx mac#1's on pistonheads and was wondering what your opinions were of the quality, handling and speed? it needs to be bec and the one which cought my eye was a 2005 1000rr fireblade motor! the reason i ask is that i have spent far too much on my mnr and may have to sell it for something a little bit less expensive. i had no choice but to finnish the car but its put me under a bit of pressure financially! any problems etc with them? thanks
I've found mine to be great.
thanks flamez. noticed yours is zx10 powered.what year motor does it have? and do you know power and weight? thanks mate.
Yes mine is the much revered and sought after classic model from 2004.
Not had it dyno'd yet, but grusk2 with a newer engine managed 168 but it still requires further tuning.
I have just brought the GSXR blue one from pistonheads and am getting it next weekend! The current owner says its 135bhp at the wheels and weight approx450kg. 300BHPton is very healthy! I did two research and asked many people. very few have a bad thing to say about Mac 1. I wanted a Mac 1 or Mk. MK do seem to sost more, dont know why.
Im 99% happy with mine (the other 1% is due to there is always room for improvment ha ha )
Ive done about 500 miles on the road, and a bit more hard driving on the track and nothing fell off, got bent, snapped, rattled loose or caught
fire..................so far

thanks guys.i think they look really nice and seem very good value! dont get me wrong, i love the mnr but its cost far more than i expected it to and cant really afford to keep it! what would be the engine of choice? most appear to be blades but i was under the impression there were better options available.
