The car is running sweet now I finally have a decent airbox and I've reset the Power Commander to "akroprovic" [it seems to work well
with the exhaust and cat].
However when accelerating hard and fast the front end seems so light. The geometry seems to be ok and is set up as the factory suggest. tyres are set
at 20psi. the car turns in well and self centres too. But I find the lightness a little disconcerting.
Is it me are all 7's light at the front when pressed on? I guess I have been spoilt by previous high range cars that stiffen the steering up with
speed and I just need to get more miles in and build the confidence up.
Would raising the rear end suspension help by putting a little more weight on the front?
How do other mac drivers find their steering..
PS I now check the QR every time. I think I'll have a sticker made up.

Try lowering the front ride height. Front end lift can be due to the front of the car riding higher than the rear so air gets rammed under the car and lifts the nose, making the steering light....
Classic symptom of toe-out
Could be you are getting extra toe-out due to bumpsteer as the front end lifts. Dial in a bit more toe-in and try it.
You can lower the tyre pressures as well. Most run 14-16psi i believe.
I had similar problem till i had my tracking done. got about 1/2degree toe out and it felt fantastic after
!6 PSi in mine
when it was 28-32 it was like driving with the steering disconected !!
Thanks guys I'll get the tracking sorted and try lower tyre pressures.
They are light cars and very responsive, but should be stable at speed. As said above :
* Rear ride height greater than the front, by about 1" - 25mm (measure from chassis to floor - but not where the rear rises up!)
* Front wheels set parallel or slight toe-in.
* Tyre pressures not too high - mine are 18psi, most people run 20psi or below.
Easy things to play with, and should give a nicer feel.

I run my front at 95mm at the front, measured at the chassis front, and 115mm at the rear measured at the rear of the chassis by the floor pan.
My steering is the same as yours 8 threads either side, measuring with a tape measure, 2 parallel lines down the side of the car, ive 4mm toe in
either side. Shocks are 8 clicks at the front
My tyres are at 17psi but filled with nitrogoen
My car goes a bit light at about 90+ in a straight line, but im happy with it.
what about some of those carbon mods front nose cone downforce winglet bits.....?
Try slowing down. Your not on the way to a fire any more now
Never had that problem in mine (although a pinto engine and driving like a granny might
have a part to play!!!).
