On the road and a big thanks.

Well the day finally arrived and the cars all legal and can now be driven on the roads.

I must first say a big thank you to the Mark and Colin at MAC#1 for keeping me on the straight an narrow over the last couple of years and for correcting all my little errors and getting it through the IVA and helping in obtaining a happy new 61 plate. A special mention should also go to 'Bigrich' for getting me involved in this in the first place and of course the endless advice from this forum.

Took it out or the first 25 miles this morning and realised what I've created. Its a bit quicker than what I'm normally driving and I think a few steady blasts to get the handle of it is in order. Looking forward to the last nice few days of this year up here in Aberdeen and then lets hope for a good summer next year.

A couple of pictures of the finished article and me driving back down to my house this morning.

Just remember, you won't experience a bit of tarmac which is dry enough or hot enough to give you very much grip for the next 6 months.
Just read through some threads and you won't have to look hard to find some disasters stories involving shiny new cars, divers boots on accelerator pedals and insurance claim forms. There's usually an unwanted interface with a kerb or a road sign into the bargain.
Caw canny, as the saying goes.

P.S. Car looks the part.
Smashing choice of motor / wheels / colour.

Congratulations Matt, about time too! :-P lol

I know exactly how you feel, i've been putting some miles on mine the last few days, they're so quick and everyone looks at them!

Shame I didn't get a chance to see yours fully finished, maybe i'll see it in Aberdeen sometime. :-)
