It runs!!!!!!

What a feeling!!
I just did the last connection job about an hour ago to try and get the engine running, which was the fuel pipe.
I turned the engine over and made sure the float bowls were filling up then pulled the choke lever.
I turned it over again not really expecting anything to happen and f..k me if it didnt fire up and rev nice and clean as soon as i took the choke off, not a splutter or a fart in sight.
that has really made my day now as getting the engine to run is a big milestone in my eyes, cant help keep starting it up just to hear it rev now.
Ah well back to the tinkering to get all the little loose ends buttoned up.

Bloody well done. im still grinning from when mine fired up. I keep tweaking it now so ive got an excuse to go for drive out again,......and again,......and again. Thats your next milestone then. if you think the first fire up is good you'll be a mess after the first drive out.

Is it just me or do most Mac#1ers seem to get it right first time??? People building competitors vehicles seem to have a lot more troubles. Maybe thats because we are building specialist sports replicas instead of kit cars!
