davida - 7/6/06 at 09:05 PM

Hi everyone,

Colin mentioned the Nissan Micra rad would fit the Mac#1 9RWorx.

Can anyone recommend a supplier for a suitable new radiator ?

Regards
Dave

Thanks Rich.

Last time I bought a rad was for an old beemer, got a good deal from EuroCarParts but this was a few years ago......

Have you decided what to build next?

Cheers
Dave

Have you tried your local scrap yard.

that is always a good option but due to stoopid HSE, not all of them allow you to wander.

Measure up the avaialable area and look for biggest one that fits in there - think about the inlet/outlet hoses postions, nounting brackets, if you have room for fan in front or behind etc:

there is a website that lists radiator sizes - I may have it - but I';m sure you'll find it here if you search - that will give you make/model so may help finding the source. .... but the dimensions given, I do not know if ti si matrxi size or overall? the latter I;d guess but not sure.

The local scrapyard has a couple Micra's but it looks like they'd had a head on collision with something substantial ;-(

I'll keep hunting around but also open to recommendations on where to buy a new rad.

Cheers
Dave

Ditto re above bloke, although his Doncaster shop has more stock.

Known him for years, I remember when he worked from a shed in Doncaster and had a 5 digit phone number!
