first test drive
bigrich - 10/9/07 at 06:46 PM

well its been legal for over a week but today i managed to get my first initial test of the car.
All in all its pretty dam close, it needs a little tweaking of the fuel system as it goes flat at 9000rpm and induction noise increases so suspect its a bit lean and it requires some firmer diff mounts to control the reaction of the diff a little better.
The good stuff is that is very quiet at cruising speeds and slightly fruity under power. the wilwood brakes are awesome, loads of feel and power.the drive is just so much smoother than my old blade powered 9r and just a quick apart from i,m only using 8000rpm so have almost 6000 more to find and explore
so its looking pretty good and with a few hours spent setting up/adjusting it should be awesome. Very very pleased

Looks great - what kind of motor is in now instead of the 'blade and does it use the sequential box or something else?

Darren good spot of M@Cs toolbox,my garage is chock full of kids cr-p at the moment and needs sorting out. hopefully if i can get the fueling sorted then a quick trip round the handsworth GP track could be on the cards,

Lookin' good Rich!
I'm sure you'll get the fueling sorted soon too!

Steve

Oh and your garage looks a bit bigger than the last time I was in it!

edit:- Oh and just thought I'd add that if it is your garage, then it looks like a very interesting second project in the background!!!
