Hi everbody,

I am off to pick first couple of stages of kit tomorrow which is a full month ahead of schedule. Popped in to pick up some donor bits on Tuesday and Mark informed me that it would be ready tomorrow.

I am dead excited but also very unorganised as I was expecting anothe few weekends to finish clearing garage, fix roof, add more lights etc.

Any tips for first job to tackle, something simple to ease me in to it?

Have read the build manual but stil don't have much clue what I am doing but hopefully when it is in front of me I will work it out.

I am based just east of Hull, any other builds around my way?

Hopfully post some pictures tomorrow.

Tips??? mmmm Dont get too worried if you cock things up. But the best things to keep to hand are:

- Zip ties
- Copper slip
- Lock tight
- Hammerite black paint
- Understanding wife

Col was busy filling boxes with bits for you this afternoon and there was quite a few powder coated bits knocking around

Floor fitting is your first job lots of marking out,drilling and rivetting to enjoy

I will be there after dinner tommorow, what time are you collecting your kit.

Yup start with either the floor or footwell panels

then brake lines & fuel lines

When doing the brake lines remember to start with th elongest run (the run from the master cylinder to the back) that way if you muck it up you can reuse parts of it for the shorter runs (shortest is front right wheel)

Bear in mind that we expect you to turn up on the 3rd with a fully road prepped worX totally road legal and freshly SVA'd

Do you mean he's gonna borrow one???

Should be arriving about 11 so probably still be there after lunch so may see you Rich.

If I have a good bash at it Sunday I should get it all finished, tested and legal by next weekend, then again, maybe not.

Get the foot pedals in before you finish all the side panels... Its easier to get at if they are the floor mounted type.

Plenty of help on here, so dont worry about asking daft questions.... Mind you you will undoubtedly get some daft answers if they are really daft questions

Think twice, measure 10 times, Cut / Fit Once etc etc. Dont rush!
