Big day today because I managed to start the engine for the first time tonight.
Big thanks (as ever) to Mark and Colin for all their help over past week or so while I sorted the wiring and fuel systems.
Coolig system is still not complete so I only ran the engine for a second but it was a great sound.
You can see the video here
Or visit my build site for a more details. (http://charliedog360.spaces.live.com/)
Next stop, some bodywork!
Nice one Liam, always a good high point of any build.

Blimey! how did you get the other half to comentate and record it for you?
My wife won't even get in my car and it is finished!
She thinks I am a loony driver..........
well done but you could have left it running more than a nano second
Thats great news Liam!
Your wife seemed as keen as you were!
Steve
Well done

Excellent, well done.
One of the best points of the build, it all becomes a bit more realistic when she fires up.
Don't get the missus too involved unless you're good at hiding the keys
My missus got stuck and couldn't push it back - she lost interest after that
Nice One!
Be ready for the SVA in a week.

Cheers,
Heidi is only interested in very small doses so I think it will be OK but then again, racing is in her blood as her Granddad built Snetterton Race
Track in the 50’s (Sear Corner is named after him).
It was great to hear it run but without the engine coolant system running, I did not want to push my luck.
There is a rumour that bodywork will finally be done shortly so then I can really push forward.
