3,000 Bulk Balloons - where ??
Tris - 27/1/12 at 06:58 PM

Ok this this a little bit of an odd question, but as this site's ethos is 'low cost', i thought i would ask.

As part of a party / prank, I've been tasked with the job of filling a room will balloons (normal latex air filled type). From my rough maths i think i need about 3,000 of them to fill this room !!

I could get three of these
1000 12' Balloons - Yellow Blue Orange Purple Red NEW | eBay

but that works out to be £50 !. Anyone know of anywhere cheaper ?

It's making my cheeks hurt thinking about blowing them up lol

I'm not a balloon expert but they look cheap to me

Even with a compressor handy it will take 30 seconds to fill each balloon and tie it off.
So 1500 minutes later there'll all be full.
Only 25 hours of solid work....
chuck in a few toilet breaks, sleep (?) etc and that's one hell of a commitment...

or get 8 people together and do it in an afternoon.

Ben, an example of similar logic you as a physician can relate to: if it takes 1 women 9 months to make a baby, surely it'll be done in a month if you have 9 women? ;-)

Did something similar a few years ago and only took 5 seconds or so to blow each ballon up and hand it off to someone to tie a knot in it. Evenings work by 4 of us should see the job done (or if i am wrong half done !)

Yes, £50 does seam reasonable but would rather pay £40 if i can find somewhere else

Cheers

call a local party shop and see if they can beat the price. I doubt they will be able to though, ebay usually has someone selling things at cost plus a small profit, with smaller overheads and a bigger audience than a shop.
