Hi can any one identify this, I googled it but got different answers !!!
it lived on a bracket with the boost sensor, what is it, what does it do and do I really need it?
if its part of the egr then where do the 2 pipes go to? if its part of the evap then I don't need it.

Looks like a purge valve. For tank vapours.

yes that was one of the answers I got if it is that then it goes to the canister and back to the mx5 tank and as such I wouldn't need it.
