Freelander End
Hello,
For those of you using a freelander diff. The only bit needed from the freelander donor shaft is the 'inner' CV with the associated
gaitors? Is there anything you take from the freelander shaft?
Cheers

Don't know about the shaft as mine were adapted and supplied with the kit.
Make shure you get the boot with it though as they're only available from L/Rover, expensive and usually factory order only. Universal ones
won't fit either.

Sorry I wasn't clear. I have the Mac#1 supplied shaft, I meant the bits you add from the freelander donor, it is just the CV and boot?

You need;
Diff, cv joints, boots [they cost 35 each] and the tri bearing and circlip that fits on the mac drive shaft.

I was a fool and forgot about the Trilobe... That's why I posted, I was sure it wasn't as simple (or cheap) as I was thinking. Got some
donor shafts instead though.
On a side note I read on someones blog that actually the sierra shaft inner trilobe will fit a Freelander inner CV. Can't test this though as I
don't have any freelander bits to play with yet.

Yes they probably would but the sierra shaft is probably a different length to the Mac
