Nissan 200sx would be easier. S2000 is a complete nightmare apparently.

How about 2 litre Zetec with all the toys, should get close to 200bhp wothout spending the earth or having to sit there for days sorting out engine wiring looms!

Should really of said Pinto to start with shouldnt I.

You can call it an early cosworth if you like instead of the pintosaurus

I wonder if a Volvo T5 motor would fit ?

Never seen one done before, maybe a very good reason for that mind.

Ca18det, fairly cheapish, with a few mods good for easily over 200bhp.

I'd go for a bike engine screamer again, maybe a larger bike engine than before with a supercharger, from a new mini cooper or something as they are about £100 on ebay practically new, to be different?
Or possibly a super and turbocharger combo?

On the topic would something like a Vauxhall V6 with a couple of these superchargers strapped on be a good idea?

Just thinking outside the box,

Mark

Excluding cost/complication issues I'd like to install the following engines.

Rover K series with a Scholar 1.9 bottom end and Dave Andrews VVC head and cams. (240BHP)

3.0L Duratec V6 with a Opcon Autorotor in the V. (350BHP)

Toyota 3SGE BEAMS 2.0L VVTi. 210HP from the factory but change the pistons and add a turbo and only the budget would limit the power potential

Realistically I want to install a Rotrex supercharger on my 20V 4AGE and get about 250BHP and maybe 180 lb ft.

I've always been a fan on the BEC's but if I was ever to sell the R1 I would build a 200SX powered MK.
2 months ago I bought one and its an absolute beast!!

Check it out!

From a rolling start it can beat a 2003 CBR600!
And max out at over 160MPH (speedo only goes to 160 and it still revs)
Private road

What do you reckon the chances are of Colin adapting a 9Rworks to cec power for you are???
Please dont get the roll cage fitted - i will be so jealous!

In terms of engine choice, if i was replacing pintosaurus i have no idea which way to go. Obvious choice would be zetec or duratec. XEsaurus is well proven but getting old as well. Jap power sounds very tempting but dont know if id want a turbo. Its a shame the VW power plants dont go in - the 20V is good engine. Even the 16V G60 is good still. This is probably the hardest choice.

I keep thinking about alternatives. Ive started to reckon up the 2.1 rebuild, throttle bodies etc are all not cheap and cash could be put into more modern 16V instead, possibly with more power / torque for same dosh.
