Fitting Mac 1 seats

Just about to start fitting my black g/glass Mac 1 seats. Bit confused about where to start, is it best to fit the brackets to the seat first or mount the brackets onto the floor first then try & find the best position for the seats once the brackets are mounted ?

With our MK, we found that by mounting the brackets to the seat first, you can adjust them so that the seat is in its furthest back position. Place the seat in the car and slide the seat forward to ensure you can comfortably reach the pedals. That way, you get the maximum adjustability.
