throttle cable securing - pedal end

How should I secure the throttle cable sleeve to the welded-in tube that leads away from the bottom of the accelerator pedal?
Also how does the cable itself fix to the pedal?

Almost ready to fire up the engine, by the way.

Why do they call Port Harcourt "The Garden City"?...... Becauase they can't spell Stramash.

My throttle cable isnt secured as such to the engine side of the tube. It relies on the 'tension' on the cable to keep it in place (tension is too strong a word but you know what i mean).

On pedal end i have what looks like a small bajo fitting that holds the cable with 2 grub screws. i bolt then secures the banjo hole to the pedal, but not tight so as to allow movement when pedal moves through its arc.

Nice to hear you are close to start up time. Its a big moment.

I've used these in the past to secure throttle cables as they bite very strongly, enough to dent steel wire undercarage

Exactly what I did.
Well kind of, I actually didn't have any collets so I used the metal inner bit of a chocolate block type electrical connector. Drilled a small hole in the accelerator arm for the wire to go through with one of those either side to clamp the wire in situ. Worked fine. Haven't needed to adjust it since....

Not sure of the cable you have but if you give Mark a ring in the morning (spoke to him earlier and he said he was going in for a few hours) he should have a screw on fitting similar to the one in my piccy plus a bung and adjuster for the chassis
