Mac#1 at the Rollers

Took the car to get set up today at the rolling road, the main thing i was after getting sorted was the mixture at full throttle

Started off the lambra reading was
1000-4000 rich
4000 - 6000 lean,
6000 - 8000 really lean
8000 - 10000 lean
10000 - 12000 rich

After mapping, more mapping and more mapping we had more or less perfect mixture across the board

It put out 168bhp at 10200 in the end but it was 32 degress out today.

I was happy with it, not sure how acritate the road was, but friends have been using them for years and 100% happy, you hear different stories about some road upping figures.

Just looked at the charts 140bhp at the wheels

it would'nt surprise me if the figures from rolling roads could vary by as much as 30 % and are on the optimistic side to make think the punter is getting valyue ofr money.

but the important thing is to compare before and after figures.

Your BHP figure looks just right for a 2007 zx10r,my 2007zx10r was 166bhp at the calculated flywheel figure, but the reason I asked was the rev's its producing it at only 10200rpm,mine was at 13050rpm,and max power when fitted in the bike is around the same revs, with a 13,500rpm red line,so I am not sure whats going on with yours, did the power drop right off after 10200rpm?

Paul, I was surprised at the peek revs, it just dropped off at 10200, we didn't rev it past 11000 as it didn;t seam any point pushing the 13000, mark at mac#1 called me as well asking the same thing 10200 for peek power...????.

I called the rolling road today, and he said check your my trottle stop on the bulk head and make sure i was getting full throttle.

Just checked and i can get another 2mm on the throttle. Wonder if that would of made the difference...?

Once the weather is a better/ less than hot ( 34 is good for a tan and women in little clothing, but not good for engines ) im back up the rollers for another play about.

There's something not right with your results, here's mine,as you can see still making loads more power after 10000rpm.
