WANTED - RS2000 front anti-roll bar
Looking for a RS2000 front anti-roll bar for my sons Dutton Melos, which he sprints. The car is rolling like a supertanker in a gale with the
standard Escort item!

You want a twin cam one as they are a larger diameter and the rs one is the same as standard
On the escort rally cars they use double width kits which in effect gives you an extra mount in the centre on the anti roll bar with wider mounting
points to aid stiffness
I think iirc that the one you need will be 22mm but dont quote me
try gs escorts in widnes as they carry a stock of newly made twin cam rollbars

Many thanks for the reply.
From what I can gather, the Twin cam one is indeed thicker than the standard one, due to the more sporting nature of that car, but I believe the
RS2000 one is thicker still again due to the nature of the car, and also due to the heavier Pinto engine. In other words the RS2000 one is the
thickest one I can get. Importantly, a secondhand RS2000 item will be cheaper than a new Twin Cam one.
We have already put double width and heavier duty mounts on (which was a great improvement), but when we change the anti-roll bar we will probably
drop the position of the mounts as well to introduce some anti-dive.
Thanks for the name of the people in Widnes as I think they are the people who took over Ian Harwoods stockpile of escort bits and I could not find
their name anywhere.

I've got a pic somewhere with a few different ones laid out ontop of each other so you can see the difference in sizes. When I boot my main pc
up i'll get the pic on here for future reference.

Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a
car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes
and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it.
