spring rates

Hi All

I'm on the lookout for advice regarding the spring rates for my car, i'm assuming that the adjustable shocker are now knackered as they're a few years old now so as i have to replace those i may also do the springs as well, the weights i've got are from when i went to a public weighbridge and are with full tank /two people,
front wheels only 440kg,
whole car on 1040kg
rear wheels only 580kg
i know the figures don't add up so please don't ask me why,

anyway has anyone any thought as to what spring rates i'd need for a road car, i'd like a bit of comfort, it's bouncing all over the place now hence the new shocks needed

Regards Hal
