Buying Transit Van
Going to look at a Ford Transit van in the morning it's a 51 Reg 2.4 TD.125BHP with 110,000 Miles on the clock for £1,995.00. Is there anything
I should be aware of, or faults particular to these vans. Cheers Barry

Depending on the number of owners, and what it was used for. Check if all mot's are present, to verify the mileage.
Cheers,
Nev.

Try and verify the mileage 11k a year is very low for a van, I had a Fiat ducato from new in 2001, I covered 248k in four years sold it on, and about
two months later it was for sale again with just under 76k on the clock, have a damn good look at it
Must try harder

depending who has owned it before, but there is a problem with the flywheel, on my old van i had my starter motor changed 3 times and same thing to a
couple of work buddys, turns out that it was the teeth on the flywheel wearing and all the dust would f**k the starter motors, we changed mechanic and
he solved the problem by changing the flywheel.

At that age RUST! It may be genuine low miles but with half decent maintainance the can take plenty miles anyway, but Transits are as bad as
they've always been for tin worm.
